Planting new roots

Mission: First Light
Location: Transporter Room x Cargo Bay x Quarters

Blue lights shimmered and then diminished, leaving a ginger beauty in a lovely forest green uniform, a unique-looking shoulder bag made out of reclaimed root fibers, and the strap was decorated with faint, engraved patterns — Gaelic sigils representing growth, endurance, and renewal. Inside the bag were a lot of odd tools, but tools that were essential in her duties.

"Are you um, Lieutenant MacDa, uh...," the young petty officer said, trying to pronounce her last name, but failing miserably.

"MacDara, elonate the 'ar'," she said with a smile, her Gaelic twang coming through a little bit, as she helped the young petty officer with her name, "...um, how can I help you?" Tirenn asked, knowing that she was not a Starfleet officer, but she did have the equivalent rank, and she was still a civilian.

"Oh, uh, yes, right, I actually need you to come with me to the cargo bay, I need you to confirm your cargo, I believe they sent over about four crates," the petty officer said, simply looking at his PaDD.

"Ah, yes, please lead the way, I believe one will be for my quarters and the other three for my lab, which I believe was arranged ahead of time," she added, pulling her Grimoire Algaeris out of her Heritage Bag, "yes, it was," she said tapping a button and sending it to the petty officers PaDD.

The petty officer didn't say anything, just stared at the PaDD. "I thought Starfleet got the best toys, guess I am wrong," he said with a chuckle. "Guess I am wrong."

Tirenn didn't know how to deal with that, so she remained silent, "If you can just take me to my stuff, and I can sign off on it, petty officer," she said a bit sternly. The one thing she noticed was that, regardless of rank, civilians experienced a loss of respect, yet simultaneously, they garnered respect.

"Yes, of course, Lieutenant, if you would follow me," and the walk was awkward, and wrapping up in the cargo bay was also uncomfortable, but it was done. After that was done, the petty officer led her to her quarters, "Here you are, Lieutenant, and apologies for my earlier comments," he quickly added before leaving her to her new home.
