Commander Shae’Vaelor Threz stood at the edge of the transporter pad as the familiar hum of the system faded into silence. The lights of the transporter room aboard the USS Archlight steadied, and for a brief moment she simply took in the sight of the flagship she would now call home. The vessel’s reputation had traveled far through the fleet—discipline, precision, and a commanding officer whose name carried weight across multiple sectors.

Adjusting the fall of her uniform jacket, she stepped down from the pad with calm, measured confidence.

“Acknowledged,” she said softly to the transporter chief with a polite nod.

Her eyes moved around the room, cataloguing everything the way a seasoned officer did when arriving somewhere new. Starfleet vessels were familiar territory, yet each ship carried its own rhythm—its own personality. The Archlight felt… focused. Purposeful.

Commander Threz retrieved the small data case she had brought with her. Most of her belongings would arrive later with the cargo transfer, but the essentials were always carried personally.

“Commander Shae’Vaelor Threz,” she introduced herself to the officer on duty. “Reporting aboard as Executive Officer.”

Formalities complete, she stepped out into the corridor. The ship moved with quiet efficiency around her—crew members passing with quick nods of respect, the distant sounds of consoles and doors sliding open and closed.

Her gaze lifted toward the direction of the bridge.

First impressions mattered.

But the first meeting that truly counted would be with the commanding officer.

With steady steps, the new Executive Officer of the USS Archlight made her way toward the turbolift, ready to report to Brigadier General Jonathan Frost and begin her duties aboard the flagship.

“Computer,” she said calmly as the lift doors opened.

“Bridge.”

The doors slid shut, carrying the Archlight’s new XO toward the next chapter of her service.
