Mission:
First Light
Location: Biostation-29 "Aurelia Pod"
The Herbalist Warrior, a nickname she achieved when she was helping evacuate the colony on Toragh’s Reach. After the initial culling, either reinforcements were destroyed trying to get to Toragh's Reach, or they weren't coming either way. Within weeks, they were out of medicine and most supplies; luckily, K'ehleyr and a few other warriors found some flora they could use to make medicine until help arrived.
The concept of herbalism was weirdly frowned upon and looked on with awe, as dying on the battlefield was the greatest honor, while living to fight another day was an honor in its own right. Either way, the nickname stuck after they were rescued, or more realistically, the Gorn either went back into hibernation or they moved on.
"Welcome," a soft computer voice said as the corridor lit up, revealing an incredible scene. The floor was a transparent composite floor showing root and substrate channels beneath.
"Impressive, isn't it?"The ginger Gaelic said in a soft tone, her accent slipping out slightly. "The roots are actually the bio-neural network, well, for this section at least."
It was impressive, "...I have heard of these; they were instrumental in saving several of the breadbasket worlds of the Federation, and in terraforming satellites (moons) into habitable colonies," the Klingon said, "Oh, I am K'ehleyr of House Kodash, I am a surgeon."
"Lieutenant Tirenn MacDara, science officer, but botany is my specialty, and well, this is my domain," the ginger Gaelic said with a soft smile.
Just then, the doors slid open, and Frost walked into the room and looked around. "Interesting, and please tell me it will not be all over my ship. Also looking for my Science Officer, and I believe my Surgeon," he said.
"....oh gods no, sir," the ginger said in a much heavier Gaelic accent and grin, "I promise," she added.
"General, an honor to be serving under you, and on this flagship," K'ehleyr said, her tone staying neutral.
"The honor is Mine, I heard good things about you both from former CO's. Could either of you please explain to me what you were talking about before I rudely interrupted?" he said. "I'm just trying to introduce myself and also get to know my Crew a bit."
"We were actually just introducing ourselves, sir," the ginger said with a soft smile, "and Ms., sorry, Sergeant K'ehleyr of House Kodash was telling me she was aware of this particular bio station, and how they saved many worlds, and helped terraform others."
"Yes, the Federation was gracious enough to allow some to help rebuild some of the Klingon worlds, even against some of the Houses' will," the Klingon surgeon said.
"Ah, yes, I read the reports. I know that even now, some of the houses are still not happy with the help from Starfleet. Once you both settle in, take a tour around the Archlight. She's a beautiful ship, and I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do along with her," He said. "Also, come to the Bridge once we're ready to leave space dock, carry on," he added, then turned and left, out the door, headed towards the bridge.
'Oh, um, okay, of course, Captain," the ginger said, giving the Klingon a shrug before they went their separate ways.
